Major Infrastructure Works Begin in Lanús

In Lanús, a suburb of Buenos Aires, work has begun on the improvement of the Villa Jardín district. The mayor of Lanús, Julián Álvarez, and the Minister of Infrastructure of the Province of Buenos Aires, Gabriel Katopodis, inspected the progress of the project. The works are being carried out under the provincial program "Sustainable Mobility and Accessibility" (MAS). Currently, road resurfacing has already started, with a priority on hydraulic works to address flooding in an area with a history of complaints. "The most important and fundamental thing is the hydraulic work... we hope to provide a concrete solution," said Álvarez. Katopodis added that the project includes more than 20 blocks of resurfacing, as well as the reconstruction of storm drains and hydraulic work linked to Yatay, with a focus on improving mobility, safety, and public space for daily travel to work, school, hospital, and community centers.
